I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
